Meet the 23-year-old billionaire and Wimbledon star who is worth more than Federer, Nadal and Djokovic combined and is related to a famous American football player

  • The fortune of American star Emma Navarro is greater than that of Federer, Djokovic and Nadal combined
  • Navarro is currently in action at Wimbledon and will play against four-time Grand Slam champion Naomi Osaka in the second round of the tournament.
  • She owes her wealth largely to her father, a billionaire and tycoon

American tennis player Emma Navarro has yet to make waves in the tennis world, but she has a fortune that any of the top seeds in male and female tennis would envy.

The 23-year-old American made history this week when she reached the second round of Wimbledon for the first time in her career.

On Wednesday, she will face four-time Grand Slam singles champion Naomi Osaka in the second round of the coveted competition.

Despite being ranked 19th in the women’s singles, Navarro has yet to take home a major trophy or one of the eye-watering checks on offer on the ATP Tour.

Although the American hopes to make an impression and show that the future is hers, the tennis star is under no financial pressure as she already has an impressive purse thanks to her wealthy family.

Emma owes her incredible fortune mainly to her father, the billionaire and tycoon Ben Navarro

Born in New York, Navarro is the daughter of wealthy billionaire investment magnate Ben Navarro and the granddaughter of the late former Ivy League football player and current coach Frank Navarro.

The American billionaire built his billion-dollar empire thanks to numerous business ventures, notably as founder and owner of the Sherman Financial Group, which includes Credit One Bank, among others.

Ben has also shown interest in his daughter’s passion and initially invested in the tennis world by purchasing Charlestown Tennis LLC in 2018 through his company Beemok Sports – the company hosts the longest-running women-only tennis tournament, the Charlestown Open.

Before he shelled out nearly $300 million (£237 million) to win the Western and Southern Open, a major tennis tournament, in 2022.

The Western and Southern Open featured 19 of the top 20 tennis players in 2022 and is one of only nine tennis events recognized worldwide as a top-class tournament for male and female players.

Her fortune is estimated to be more than that of Rafael Nadal, Novak Djokovic (left in the picture) and Roger Federer (right in the picture) combined.
The 23-year-old is not the only athlete in the Navarro family. Her grandfather Frank Navarro was a former American college football player who later became a coach.

The rising tennis star has already achieved the financial success that most players dream of before their active careers come to an end.

Navarro’s estimated net worth is around £3 billion, surpassing tennis greats such as Roger Federer’s $550 million (£434 million), Rafael Nadal’s $220 million (£174 million) and Novak Djokovic’s $240 million (£189 million).

The 23-year-old sports star, who made her debut at the Australian Open last January, is not the only famous sports name in her family.

Her late grandfather, Frank Navarro, was an American college football player turned coach.

Frank was head coach for Williams College, Columbia University, Wabash College and Princeton University and even introduced the “Monster Defense” at Williams.
