Mail thieves attack apartment in West Hollywood

Authorities are searching for two burglars who broke into the mail room of a West Hollywood residence on Kings Road over the weekend.

CBS News Reports that the incident occurred just after midnight Sunday at the Kings Road Towers apartment complex in the 1200 block of Kings Road. Surveillance footage shows one suspect jumping over a fence to gain entry before letting the second suspect in through the gate. The pair then went to the mail room, where they stole bags, mail and packages.

Jake Mason, president of the complex’s homeowners association, reported that one of the men broke into the mail room with his accomplice about an hour before he returned. “I believe they used tools to break down the door,” Mason said.

Residents of the complex are frustrated and point out that this is not the first time their post office has been attacked. In the past year, the post office has been attacked at least three times.
