DEADPOOL & WOLVERINE star Ryan Reynolds draws attention to Taylor Swift’s cameo appearance with new social media post

We thought the Deadpool and Wolverine/Taylor Swift rumors were made. But when Spoilers for the upcoming third part find their way online Thanks to a screening in China, Ryan Reynolds seems to want to encourage his fans to speculate again.

The actor shared a never-before-seen photo of the Merc with the mouth on Instagram today. It’s a cool image, but presented in a way that’s clearly meant to be an homage to the cover of Swift’s critically acclaimed album, Evermore.

Still not convinced? Well, Reynolds accompanied the image with the song “Evermore” playing in the background.

Is this a “confirmation” that Swift has a role in the film? Not necessarily, because maybe it’s just the actor’s playful way of getting fans talking and paying tribute to his real-life friend. Still, it’s hard to shake the feeling that it will be a huge disappointment if Swift doesn’t appear as someone in Deadpool and Wolverinebe it Lady Deadpool, Dazzler or even herself.

A recent article in Entertainment Weekly said that the singer would not appear in the Marvel Studios film, although we’ve seen several similar denials from Disney over the years to maintain the element of surprise.

It is worth noting that rumors have been circulating since then that Swift will play the blonde Phantom of the MCU in a series produced by Disney+ Black widow Star Scarlett Johansson. That doesn’t mean she can’t still show up Deadpool and Wolverineof course, but we don’t rely on it.

You can check out Reynolds’ Instagram post below, along with a selection of the speculation the photo he shared is already generating on social media.
