Restored 1871 railroad depot is now a unique Airbnb in Michigan: Check out

Located in the village of Colon, Michigan, this railroad depot was given new life in 1993 when it was moved to its current location. The owners spent a lot of time renovating and refurbishing the historic depot piece by piece, taking care to save the original doors and almost all of the beaded interior trim, as well as all of the unique antique “window weight” windows. The 2 bedroom, 1.5 bath “house” comfortably sleeps 5 guests and is charmingly decorated in every room. In keeping with the historic theme, visitors will find antiques, a stunning restored sleigh, and beautiful custom cabinetry inside. Check it out!

Take a look inside Granot Loma, the world’s largest log home valued at $40 million

Granot Loma is a 20,000-square-foot log cabin listed on the National Register of Historic Places in Marquette, Michigan. It is said to be the largest log cabin in the world, with 50 rooms and a list of extras that make it truly unique. There are 50 rooms (including 23 bedrooms and 13 bathrooms) and 13 additional buildings on the property, including an indoor boathouse and a private marina right on Lake Superior. Built between 1919 and 1923, the property is spread over 2,000 acres. Take a look inside.
