Mandy Moore from “Tangled” wants Sabrina Carpenter to play Rapunzel in the live-action film

Sabrina Carpenter as Rapunzel in a live-action film? Mandy Moore would love to see that!

Although Disney has not yet officially announced the film, the discussion about the possible live-action film Tangled The film (rumored to be in early development) continues to take social media by storm.

From fans casting their dream actors for the popular roles to real actors throwing their hats in the ring to play Rapunzel and Flynn Rider, countless names are already in the running. (I have neverMaitreyi Ramakrishnan has been incredibly vocal about Rapunzel being her dream role.)

Now Mandy Moore, who lends her voice to Rapunzel in the animated film, has announced that she would like to see Sabrina Carpenter in the role.

Speaking to Bustle, Mandy revealed that if she had the opportunity to cast an actress in the role of Rapunzel, she would choose Sabrina.

“I could imagine her with 50 feet of hair or something,” she said. “In real life, she looks like a Disney princess.”

Mandy added that she could possibly play the role of Mother Gothel in the film before suggesting a song she and Sabrina could sing together.

She added: “Maybe I could be Rapunzel’s mom. Let’s do a real mother-daughter duet and have someone write an original song so we can talk about our differences and how hard it is to be young in this world.”

Mandy is not the only one who wants to see Sabrina in the role. For Halloween 2023, Sabrina dressed up as Tangled‘s version of Rapunzel and the internet was awash with casting suggestions from fans.

Taylor Zakhar Perez, who recently Red, white and royal bluealso recently revealed that Sabrina actually called him after seeing all the memes about the two potentially playing Rapunzel and Flynn. (He’s totally up for the role, by the way.)

Florence Pugh has long been a fan favorite for the role of Rapunzel in live-action. Maitreyi Ramakrishnan and Avantika (Girls Club – Be careful, they bite!) have also thrown their hats into the ring. In an interview with Capital Buzz, Mckenna Grace also revealed that Rapunzel would be one of her dream roles.

And what about Flynn Rider? Fans would like to see Taylor as well House of the DragonFabien Frankel plays the charming villain. Zachary Levi, who voiced Flynn in the animated film, also said he would reprise the role.
