Elizabeth Olsen reflects on her childhood with famous sisters Mary-Kate and Ashley: “I stayed at home!”

Elizabeth Olsen “stayed home” while her famous sisters Mary-Kate and Ashley traveled the world.
The 34-year-old actress is known to audiences today for her roles in hits like WandaVision and Love and Death. However, when she was growing up, her older sisters, now 37, benefited from the success of films like Passport to Paris and Our Lips Are Sealed, as well as a number of lucrative brand deals. However, she admitted that she had no interest in it at the time because she just saw it as work.
She told The Times: “Anything that would keep me from school as a kid, I didn’t want to do. Even when my sisters traveled around the world every summer making these movies, I stayed home and went to my musical summer camps. My sisters were on set all the time. I saw them working. And what my friends and I did was play. I liked creating things with my friends.”
Elizabeth added that she would “rebel” against her Hollywood star sisters – who retired from film acting and became fashion designers after completing their work on “New York Minute” in 2007 – and that she would choose not to become an actress, expressing a desire to pursue a corporate career instead.
She added: “My form of rebellion was to say, ‘Well, I don’t want to be an actor, I want to be an accountant or an investment banker.’ And so for years I said, ‘I want to be an investment banker when I grow up,’ because I was really good at math. Doing something so boring was a form of rebellion.”
