SONIC introduces $1.99 menu with new queso wraps

UNDATED (WKRC) – SONIC has gotten in on the inexpensive meal trend with a brand new $1.99 menu.

SONIC Drive-In announced Monday that it will introduce a new value menu designed to compete with other fast-food giants that have launched their own deals to lure back inflation-fearing consumers. Dubbed the “FUN.99” menu, SONIC guests can order burgers, snacks, desserts and brand-new wraps for just $1.99.

The following items will be available in SONIC’s new Value Menu:

• Chili Cheese Coney Hot Dogs
• Small potato dumplings
• Quarter Pound Double Cheeseburger
• All 12 Sonic Shake Flavors (16 oz.)

SONIC’s new queso wraps will also be available in the value menu:

• Bacon Ranch Queso Wrap – Tender white meat, bacon, cheddar cheese, ranch and queso wrapped in a warm flour tortilla.

• Southwest Crunch Queso Wrap – Tender white meat, southwest sauce, tortilla strips, cheddar cheese and queso wrapped in a flour tortilla.

“Consumers now value affordable food options more than ever, but they shouldn’t have to settle for the same old, boring discount deals or bland meals. Many restaurant brands promote cheap meals and discount deals, and you see a lot of recycled ideas with limited options. At SONIC, we wanted to do something different – something fun – so we focused on variety, which is why we’re introducing the new $1.99 menu, or as we like to call it, the FUN.99 menu,” said Ryan Dickerson, SONIC’s Chief Marketing Officer. “The FUN.99 menu is all about choice and fun, whether you want one of our twelve shake flavors, a chili cheese coney or our legendary tots as a lunchtime snack – it’s all for just $1.99.”

According to the press release, SONIC guests can also enjoy half-price drinks and slushies when they place an order through the SONIC app. Customers using the SONIC app can also get half-price classic SONIC cheeseburgers on Tuesday nights.
