Country singer’s performance interrupted by SpaceX rocket

Country singer Randy Houser was recently in the middle of a performance when SpaceX showed up and interrupted the show, leaving Houser speechless.

During Houser’s performance at the Old Town Music Festival, something was seen flying through the sky above the Murrieta Town Square Park Amphitheater in California, above the outdoor stage where he was performing one of his songs.

This something turned out to be a rocket sailing across the sky, taking on a drop-like shape with a long tail of light.

Apparently, not only Houser was speechless, but so was the crowd.

The country singer found the timing incredible and shared the captured content on social media.

“Does anyone know what that is flying over our show?” he asked in the caption of the Instagram post, along with a photo of the event and tagging NASA and SpaceX. There was also a video of the teardrop-shaped figure slowly moving across the sky.

The first photo shows the stage in purple light with Houser in the middle. Then you can see the rocket over the roof, racing across the sky with a tail trailing behind it.

Rocker Sammy Hager also saw the event that same evening and posted a video about it.

“OK, this (expletive) just happened in my skies over Southern California at about 8:55am. This is not a (expletive). This is a damn rocket launch,” he wrote alongside the video on social media. “Look at the two bright dots in his wake. Those were two jets or whatever following him. How (expletive) fast was this thing and how can those two jets keep up? I just read it was a launch from Vandenberg Air Force Base.”

SpaceX’s website confirmed that Starlink launches occurred on June 23 and June 27. Most likely, the event occurred on June 27.
