Sonic launches $1.99 value meal deal: What’s on the menu?

Sonic is the latest restaurant chain to introduce a menu offering.

Sonic has announced the launch of its $1.99 menu. The menu offerings include a Quarter Pound Double Cheeseburger, Chili Cheese Coney, Bacon Ranch Queso Wrap, Southwest Crunch Queso Wrap, small tots, and any of 12 flavors of Sonic Shakes in a 16-ounce size, including strawberry, chocolate, and Oreo Cheesecake.

“More than ever, consumers value affordable food options, but they shouldn’t have to settle for the same old, boring discount deals or boring dishes. Many restaurant brands promote cheap dishes and discounts, and you see a lot of recycled ideas with limited options. At Sonic, we wanted to do something different – something fun – so we focused on variety, and that’s why we’re introducing the new $1.99 menu, or as we like to call it, the FUN.99 menu,” said Ryan Dickerson, Sonic’s chief marketing officer, in a press release.

Sonic is also introducing a selection of queso wraps for $1.99. The Bacon Ranch Queso Wrap features crispy, tender bacon, cheddar cheese, ranch and white queso, all wrapped in a warm flour tortilla. The Southwest Crunch Queso Wrap has Crispy, tender, creamy Southwest sauce, tortilla strips, cheddar cheese and white queso, all wrapped in a soft flour tortilla.

New limited edition drinks from Sonic

Sonic has introduced its brand new Flavorista Favorites line of classic soft drinks, slushes and lemonades, available only through the Sonic app.

Here’s a look at the Flavorista Favorites menu:

• Classic Cruiser: Cola combined with a hint of cherry vanilla.
• Twisted Flamingo: Hints of lemon-lime, cherry-vanilla and sweet cream.
• Paradise Sunset: A sparkling drink with a dash of blood orange and real strawberries.
• Rainbow Slush: A rainbow-inspired slush with blue raspberries, real strawberries and lemonade.
• Lemonade Cream Cooler: A lemonade slush mixed with sweet, creamy soft ice cream.
• Grape Escape: A sparkling blend of grape and lime.
