Fourth on the Brazos returns with singer Steve Augeri | KWKT

WACO, Texas (FOX 44) – The City of Waco’s annual Fourth on the Brazos celebration returns this Thursday at Touchdown Alley at McLane Stadium!

The city says this family-friendly event will feature food trucks, family fun, and live music from former Journey lead singer Steve Augeri! The festivities will conclude with the spectacular HEB Fireworks Extravaganza. The event is free and open to the public.


The event schedule is listed below:

  • 6:00 p.m. – Opening of the event with food and drink stands
  • 6:30 p.m. – DJ Eddie Rose
  • 19:30 – Former lead singer of Journey, Steve Augeri
  • 9:10 p.m. – Waco Community Band Patriotic Ceremony
  • 9:15 p.m. – HEB Fireworks Extravaganza

According to the city, singer Steve Augeri will headline this year’s celebration. He was the frontman of the rock band Journey from 1998 to 2006. Visitors can look forward to hits such as “Don’t Stop Believin’,” “Faithfully” and “Any Way You Want It.”

The fireworks will be fired over the river between Touchdown Alley and the Ferrell Center, with views from many locations on the Baylor University campus. Visitors are encouraged to bring lawn chairs or blankets for seating.

Portable coolers containing outside food and beverages are permitted, but glass bottles and containers are prohibited. Bag check stations will be located at all entrances and a clear bag policy will be enforced to ensure the safety and enjoyment of all visitors.
