Described by some as “nostalgic Americana at its finest,” these retro restaurants are a throwback to simpler times; like when reading a book earned you a personalized pan pizza!

According to The Retrologist, these “Pizza Hut” The first locations opened in smaller markets in 2019, without much fanfare. If you are of a certain age, you will recognize the interior as the same classic layout The all For example, Pizza Huts in the late 80s and 90s had:

  • the salad bar
  • iconic stained glass ceiling lamps
  • red seating niches
  • classic logo
  • large red drinking cups
  • a revived version of the old mascot Pizza Hut Pete

Just looking at these photos takes me back to my childhood in Allegan, Michigan. There wasn’t much to do downtown if you were under 21, but there was always Pizza Hut! We could walk there after school, eat pizza, and spend all our quarters on the jukebox; and what a teenager not Have you ever snorted Parmesan cheese on a dare?

  • 1303 Bridge St., Charlevoix, Michigan
  • 330 W. Main St., Fremont, Michigan
  • 1600 S. Stephenson Ave., Iron Mountain, Michigan (State)
  • 3050 Highway 31, Traverse City, Michigan
  • 412 Sanilac Street, Sandusky, Michigan
