Voters in Las Vegas and elsewhere in Clark County, Nevada, falsely listed “Larry Flynt’s Hustler Erotic Ultra Club” as their home address, as well as a gambling hall and an industrial park, according to a recent lawsuit.

Hundreds of these illegal registrations were discovered by the Public Interest Legal Foundation and private individuals Frederick H. Kraus and Joey Paulos, who filed suit.

According to the regulations, voters must provide their legal residential address. Otherwise, they are not registered as voters.

Last week’s federal lawsuit alleges that Clark County Registrar Lorena Portillo failed to certify the accuracy of voter information.

“In Clark County, people are registered to vote in strip clubs, casinos, gas stations and other crazy addresses where it seems like no one could reasonably live there,” J. Christian Adams, president of the Public Interest Legal Foundation, was told by the New York Post.

We’re asking the court to force Nevada election officials to investigate all improper commercial addresses on the voter rolls,” Adams said. “We need to get this right before the 2024 election. Otherwise, some of these strip clubs and casinos will be receiving ballots in the mail.”

Larry Flynt’s Hustler Erotic Ultra Club is an off-the-Strip adult entertainment venue.

Other questionable voters’ home addresses include a sushi restaurant and industrial park in Boulder City, a Meineke Car Care Center, Trigg Laboratories, a lubricant manufacturer, Binion’s Gambling Hall and government facilities.

In May, the Public Interest Legal Foundation, a conservative legal advocacy group, sued Carrie-Ann Burgess, acting voter registrar in Washoe County, Nevada, on similar allegations.

Voters in this region listed a city park in Reno, an office building and a cafe as their home addresses.

Wrong addresses across the state

In 2022, 95,556 ballots were sent to so-called incorrect addresses in the state, which post reported. That’s about 5% of Nevada voters, according to state officials.

Of the total number of invalid ballots in the state, 69,698 were sent to locations in Las Vegas or elsewhere in Clark County.

Nevada has seen some close elections in recent years, so voter roll accuracy is becoming increasingly important. Nevada is also considered a key state for the presidential election in November.

Previously, Senator Catherine Cortez Masto (D) won a second term in 2022 against former Attorney General Adam Laxalt (R) by just 7,928 votes.

Districts react

In response to the lawsuit against Clark County, Stephanie Wheatley, a county spokeswoman, said officials do not comment on “pending litigation.” post reported.

Bethany Drysdale, a spokeswoman for Washoe County, told the post“We comply with state and federal laws when cleaning up our voter rolls.”
