Soleil Moon Frye pays tribute to her late ex-boyfriend Shifty Shellshock following the Crazy Town singer’s sudden death

Soleil Moon Frye is honored Shifty Shellshock after his tragic death.

Last week, the world was shocked by the news that the Crazy City Frontman, real name Seth Binzerdied at the age of just 49. Since his unfortunate passing, he has been shown a lot of love, and the latest to do her part is his ex-girlfriend.

On Sunday, Soleil – who has been close to Shifty since childhood – went to Instagram to share a carousel of cute pictures with the butterfly singer. And in her caption she shared absolutely touching words:

“My heart whispers ‘I love you’ a thousand times because you loved my children and me so unconditionally. I can still see your smiling, sweet face in middle school when you kissed me in your tunnel of love, and how you swept me away again as we grew up to show me what that timeless kind of love felt like. No words could ever express the love we shared or how we feel right now. It’s a language all its own.”

She and Shifty were first reported to be dating in 2021, following her divorce from her longtime husband Jason Goldbergwith whom she has four children. The Punky Brewster Stern continued:

“So now I’m going to use every bit of strength you showed me to hold on to the words you asked me in your beautiful morning smoky voice on the beach while you showered me with kisses. ‘The people we lost, we’ll meet again on the road someday, right?’ I believe we will, Seth… and when we do, the most adorable, cool, tattooed angel in the mismatched shoes who taught me how to soak up life again will be standing there with the biggest smile. I’ll immediately see your moon on your glowing cheek as you welcome your family, friends, fans and loved ones under loving double rainbow arches… I love you forever and always. Initial reports suggested that Shifty’s death was being investigated as a possible overdose, and last week the musician’s manager confirmed the news to People:

“The cause of death was a combination of prescription drugs and drugs bought on the street. Shifty was a friend and was desperate to heal himself – unfortunately no one had the right tools to do so, including me.”

The Los Angeles County Coroner’s Office has not yet released an official cause of death pending the toxicology report. What is your reaction to Soleil’s tribute? We are so, so touched by it. Such powerful words in this unimaginably difficult time!
