Netflix adds 71 ​​new films and series on July 1, 2024

It’s the first of the month, and you know what that means – lots of movies move to Netflix in between. Below is the full list of what’s new on Netflix for July 1, 2024.

One reason for the many new releases today is that Netflix has released the third part of what it calls “Movie Milestones.” This series has so far included films that celebrated their 50th or 40th anniversary in 2024, and today it’s the turn of films from 1994 that are celebrating their 30th anniversary. We won’t go into detail about this below, as we already published a post about the Milestone Movie collection this morning.

Although Netflix added 71 new movies and series today, it ultimately lost many more titles than it gained. As we described in our list of titles removed in July, many titles disappeared today, most of which were Nike workout videos. They may return at some point, but that’s why we lost 98 titles.

What you should pay attention to from the new arrivals at the beginning of the month

Before we dive into the full list, here are three titles we think you should check out today and throughout the week:

Star Trek: Prodigy (Season 2)

The second season of the Star Trek-set animated children’s series arrives exclusively on Netflix today (though it is not explicitly labeled as a Netflix original – very strange).

In case you missed it, Paramount+ decided not to release season 2 last year, even though it was already produced and ready to ship. They also pulled the first season from their library. Thankfully, Netflix stepped in to guarantee the release of season 2 and has been home to season 1 since late last year.

In season 2, the six young outsiders of the Prodigy crew embark on a new mission aboard the USS Voyager-A to rescue Captain Chakotay and restore peace to Gwyn’s homeworld.

Suits (Season 9)

Suits made a lot of headlines last year when it set the Netflix top 10 in the US on fire, after having been on Netflix elsewhere for the past few years. Of course, Netflix US could only get its hands on the first eight seasons, as the final season was locked onto Prime Video for another year. Thankfully, that year is now over and all 10 final episodes are now available on Netflix US.

Here’s what you can expect from the final episodes:

“The final season of Suits centers on the evolving firm of Zane Specter Litt Wheeler Williams, which once again faces uncertainty and change after Robert Zane joins the bar to save Harvey. After his sacrifice, Samantha is devastated by the loss of her mentor, and as Harvey tries to comfort her, he realizes he doesn’t want to lose the most important person to him: Donna.”

American hustle and bustle (2013)

Finally, we’d like to share a movie that pops up and disappears a lot on Netflix, but since we haven’t recommended it in a while, we thought we’d mention it again.

When the film was released eleven years ago, it was nominated for almost a dozen Oscars. It is based on the true story of an FBI agent who manipulates a bunch of con artists to uncover corruption.
