Darius Slay chats with Chris Long about everything related to the Eagles

In a world where there are seemingly millions of podcasts, and thousands more being created every day, it can be difficult to wade through the clutter. Thank goodness for our Philadelphia Eagles, an organization that has always been full of colorful characters, guys who also have character.

At an intersection where content creation intersects with talented playmakers, both former and current Birds are teaming up to deliver the goods. We could use that in a slow news cycle, right?

Darius “Big Play” Slay was recently dating Chris Long. Say it out loud. Are you interested? We definitely are.

All the ingredients for a must-see TV experience were part of the mix when current Eagles star Darius Slay hung out with his host, Super Bowl champion Chris Long, during an episode of Green Light. These two host a couple of podcasts that you can actually want to add them to your rotation.

What can we expect when they join forces? Let’s just say the Fourth of July came early.

Topics included stories Slay had told us before, like his near-inclusion on the Baltimore Ravens roster and Big Dom DiSandro’s role in dissuading him from doing so. Slay also mentioned a hot topic in Eagles land, the collapse and what caused it. There he mentioned the confusion and lack of communication, especially in game day scheduling. Guys would switch to different positions every game.

Avonte Maddox also got a chance. Slay praises the long-term collaboration with Avonte for always knowing where to go, whereas the task becomes more difficult when working with younger people.

All in all, “Big Play” delivered as expected in a conversation that lasted just under 38 minutes and covered everything from the signing of Quinyon Mitchell and Cooper DeJean to secondary injuries in 2023 to his expected role in Vic Fangio’s defense (he expects to travel with the other team’s best player or play exclusively on the left side of the defensive lineup).

Try it out if you have time. You’ll definitely like what they came up with.
