Spanish police are investigating the death of a British tourist in Magaluf.

The unidentified 49-year-old was found unconscious around 4:30 a.m. today on the resort’s Martin Ros Street, near the noisy, neon-lit Punta Ballena strip.

A security guard who raised the alarm told police he saw the man collapse and fall to the ground in Mallorca, one of Spain’s Balearic Islands.

Despite attempts to resuscitate him on site, the man was soon pronounced dead.

Police notified his family after tracing their whereabouts using his name on a hotel bracelet he was wearing at the time.

The police were able to identify him using the hotel bracelet he was wearing at the time.

His name was not made public.

An autopsy is scheduled to take place in the next few hours.

As part of the death investigation, the Guardia Civil has collected video footage of the area where he died.

There was no official comment from them or from the local police on the Mediterranean island.

However, a spokesman for the municipality of Calvia, the local authority responsible for Magaluf, said: “A 49-year-old British tourist died on the road in the Magaluf area this morning.”

“It happened around 4:30 a.m. The dead man was staying in a hotel in the area.”

They added: “An employee of a local business alerted police saying that a man was unwell and stumbling around in the street.”

“Local police arrived and performed CPR but were unable to revive him. The Guardia Civil has taken over the investigation to determine the cause of death.”
