After all the hype and planning surrounding the hottest property in the world right now, Ireland has said goodbye to the “sensational” Taylor Swift, who is pulling out after three consecutive nights at the Aviva Stadium.
The US musician had seemingly captured the attention of everyone in the run-up to her arrival in Dublin, from the showbiz world to Dublin City Council, but above all that of her almost 200,000 loyal fans over the weekend.

First of all, sports fans will sit up and take notice to hear that retired Irish rugby legends Johnny Sexton, Brian O’Driscoll and Rory Best came to the Aviva on Friday with partners and children to soak up the atmosphere that only a Taylor Swift performance can provide.
O’Driscoll’s wife Amy Huberman posted some snaps of the group of famous friends together at the Aviva Stadium with the cheeky caption: “They used to be Swift enough at the Aviva themselves, they say.”
Another hero of Irish sport, Shane Lowry, was present with his wife Wendy at the Eras Tour event in Dublin on Saturday.
The man from Offaly is back in Ireland and is continuing his preparations for the 2024 Open Championship in the hope of winning his second major title.
Also in attendance at the weekend was none other than Ryan Tubridy, now playing for Virgin Radio, who praised the “nicest, happiest, sweetest group of young people” in the packed Aviva and soaked up the positive vibes the concerts exude “in a world gone mad”.
The RTÉ and Irish broadcast veteran makes no secret of how much he loves Ireland and his native Dublin and received a warm welcome from his fans at his performance, however brief his stay may be before he flies back to London to continue his successful radio career in the post-Late Late era.
Global talk show star and Cork native Graham Norton was back home for one of his appearances.
He shared a fun snap of his wrist adorned with friendship bracelets gifted to him by delighted Swifties at the Aviva Stadium, amid the exciting atmosphere generated by the world’s most popular artist right now.
On his official Graham Norton Show Instagram page, Norton posted the following photo.
Virgin Media’s Six O’Clock Show presenter Katja Mia enjoyed a night of music and entertainment with 65,000 fans in the sold-out arena.
With the caption: “The Era’s Tour. A night to remember… I feel like a lucky girl… Love uuu,” she posted a series of pictures and a video of herself and a group of friends looking down on the action from the stands.
It wasn’t just the stars of Irish television who turned out in large numbers to enjoy the performances this weekend, in fact it was the best of Hollywood and Netflix from around the world.
At the performance on Sunday, attentive fans discovered a Hollywood star and screen star in the celebrity tent.
That A-lister and star of Notting Hill, Ocean’s Eleven and Michael Collins was Julia Roberts, who was at the Aviva Stadium to enjoy some hits from Taylor Swift along with legions of screaming fans.
Another familiar face spotted side by side with Julia Roberts at Sunday’s concert was American singer-songwriter and member of Fleetwood Mac, Stevie Nicks.
During the performance, Swift reportedly sang “You’re On Your Own, Kid” in reference to Nicks. Nicks had thanked Swift for writing the song earlier this year, claiming it had brought her great comfort in light of the loss of her late Fleetwood Mac bandmate Christine McVie.
Fans of the star of the hit Netflix series Bridgerton will have been delighted to see Hyacinth, played by Florence Hunt, at Sunday’s appearance. She is reportedly currently filming for another project in Dublin, but that didn’t stop her turning up at the Aviva Stadium for the final deafening night of the Eras Tour.
And finally, in what may seem surprising at first glance, but also not entirely surprising, Travis Kelce, Taylor Swift’s partner, appeared at the performance on Sunday, much to the admiration of the audience and Taylor herself.
There were doubts as to whether he would attend at all, as fans had not seen him at the concerts on Saturday and Friday. However, he was not deterred and turned up in casual clothing to cheer on his loved one.
Here’s a video of Travis leaving the stage with Taylor after three hugely successful nights in Dublin.
That may be it for this tour, but Taylor will no doubt be back, craving more from the Irish audience that is adored by musicians and artists around the world.
