English dubbed review: The Duke of Death and his Maid “Friends, a broken curse and then…”

Overview:

The fight with Sade ends when Alice has to make a decision about her future.

Our statement:

After this week’s episode of 1920’S Time Travels, I needed this episode. I cried at both of them, but for very different reasons. Alice and the Duke getting together has become so natural to me that I’ve become more interested in other couples. I’m hoping for an epilogue where we see what everyone got up to in the last episode. Forgive me for going off topic a little, but since I said the Duke and Alice were a done deal in my head, I never thought Alice might run away. I’m glad that didn’t last very long because the Duke went right after her. I was afraid that this issue would last the entire last episode, but this anime did a great job of subverting expectations.

There’s one episode left and I’m both sad and happy. I’m glad we even got to this point and happy that there seems to be a happy ending, but I don’t want it to end. Why do love stories always have to end right when the couple get together?! I wish there were more shows like Horimiya that follow the couple after they get together. I should be careful what I say though because there’s one episode left and like I said, this show likes to exceed my expectations.
