Tanner Adell presents his new song “Cowboy Break My Heart” at the 2024 BET Awards

Tanner Adell ensures that country music remains at the center of mainstream conversations. The COWBOY CARTER The collaborator kicked off her performance on the Amplified stage at the 2024 BET Awards with her hit “Buckle Bunny” in a white lace catsuit.

After the first verse, she introduced her new single “Cowboy Break My Heart.” In the new melody, Adell sings: “I gave you everything/ The moon and the stars/ I gave you Jupiter, but you still wanted Mars (…) I’ve been a good girl/ But I’m tired of being patient/ I’ve let my walls come down and I hate it.”

She joked that she was the kind of spurned lover who would burn his guitar while waiting for him outside his favorite bar and scratch his car. This single debut comes after Adell signed to LVRN. “They made it so obvious that they knew exactly who I was and how they would help me achieve what I wanted to achieve,” she explained in a statement.

Adell shared that she felt good about signing with LVRN because “they had about 30 pages of where they saw me going and how they understood my brand,” adding, “They had a vision for the tour and went deep into the partnership if I signed with them. You never see that kind of thing – it felt like these were real people who really cared about me and understood me.”

The “Buckle Bunny” artist was previously signed to Columbia Records and rose to fame with her hit songs “Love You A Little Bit” and “Whiskey Blues.”

She also hinted that her new project would delve more into her family life and her adoption by a white family as a biracial woman. “I feel like my fans are ready, and I’m ready to give them that part of me. I’m ready to share that side of me. I feel like a lot of people are going to be healed,” Adell said.
