Walking Dead actor Steven Ogg releases his first book of poetry and stars in Boiling Point

Actor Steven Ogg is known for his role as Simon in The Walking Dead and the voice of Trevor Philips in Grand Theft Auto V Ogg recently began sharing poetry excerpts on social media. This led to the publication of his first book, Catharse – is volume 1.

The book, from UK-based publisher Pegasus Publishers, is a collection of Ogg-mented realities of the cathartic moments people experience. Ogg believes that by sharing, people feel less alone and begin to heal, something that has helped him in his own life. “Ogg hopes this book will help us all move forward with hope and a little less pain in our hearts. Read it out loud to get even more enjoyment out of it.”

Ogg plays the lead role in the BBC miniseries boiling pointwhich was released on BBC One and BBC iPlayer in 2023 and is now streaming on Netflix. The series is a sequel and standalone continuation of the 2021 film of the same name. It was created by Philip Barantini, James Cummings and Stephen Graham and features many of the film’s main cast. Barantini directs the first two episodes, while Mounia Akl directs the final two episodes of the four-part series, which has a 100% rating on Rotten Tomatoes.

The series is a sequel to the original film, which was based on a 2019 short film also directed by Barantini and starring Graham. Boiling Point is set six months after the events of the film. Carly (Vinette Robinson) now owns and operates her own restaurant with the staff of her former boss Andy (Graham).

Ogg joined the cast of boiling point as sous-chef Nick, with Stephen Graham, Vinette Robinson and Hannah Walters reprising their original roles from the film, as well as Ray Panthaki, Gary Lamont, Áine Rose Daly, Taz Skylar, Daniel Larkai, Stephen McMillan, Hannah Traylen and Izuka Hoyle.

In 2024, Ogg reprised his role as a savior named Simon in The Walking Dead spin off, Dead city. This story was told in flashbacks to the time when Negan (Jeffrey Dean Morgan) ruled over his minions in the Sanctuary, a story that was the focus of the main series.

He is known worldwide for his role as Trevor in the video games Grand Theft Auto V. He is also known for his role as Rebus in Westworld, an HBO series, as Sobchak in AMC’s Breaking Bad spinoff Better Call Saul, as Pike in the TNT series Snowpiercer and in the AppleTV film Emancipation.

Ogg will also appear in many indie films, including Blind River, Darth Match, Hazard, The Sun of Dresden, The Ghost Trap, Sh**less Fear, and finally wrapped concessions.
