Tom Aspinall highlights which UFC 303 fighter currently has the “best punch in MMA”

Interim UFC heavyweight champion Tom Aspinall believes Alex Pereira’s patented left hook is a step ahead of everyone else in current mixed martial arts fighting.

Pereira will be back in action this weekend at UFC 303, a pay-per-view event headlining International Fight Week that the reigning light heavyweight titleholder signed up for on short notice.

After Conor McGregor withdrew from his planned fight with Michael Chandler, “Poatan” accepted the offer of a rematch against Jiří Procházka in the main event on June 29th.

And when BJP faces the Brazilian again, Aspinall believes he will be up against the sport’s most dangerous punch…

Aspinall on Pereira: “Literally touches everyone with the left hook and they go over”

In the last episode of his Combat Lab In a broadcast on the TNT Sports YouTube channel, Aspinall previewed this weekend’s PPV event and assessed the two men tasked with finishing proceedings at the T-Mobile Arena.

The Englishman paid special attention to the champion’s main weapon, which has helped him close the show against the likes of Israel Adesanya, Sean Strickland and Jamahal Hill.

“If we can say one more thing about Alex Pereira and his left hook. That’s probably the best punch in MMA right now,” Aspinall said. “He literally touches anyone with a left hook and they go down. Look at that… he’s got absolute dynamite in there.”

After falling asleep with “Sweet Dreams” last time out, Pereira will look to prove once again why he is known for the power of his left hook when he faces Procházka this weekend at the T-Mobile Arena.

The pair will headline a lineup in Las Vegas that also includes former title challengers Brian Ortega, Anthony Smith and Mayra Bueno Silva, as well as undefeated welterweight contender Ian Garry.
