Taylor Swift presents “Clara Bow” live and dedicates it to Stevie Nicks

“She is one of my heroes and also someone I can confide all my secrets to,” says the singer about the icon

Taylor Swift completed her third and final performance of the Eras Tour at the Aviva Stadium in Dublin, Ireland, on Sunday, debuting The Tormented Poet’s DepartmentThe final track, “Clara Bow,” was performed live and dedicated to an icon who was also present.

“You don’t even know she’s doing it, she’s just befriended so many artists just to be a helping hand,” Swift said before performing the song on acoustic guitar. “I can’t tell you how rare that is. She’s a hero of mine and also someone I can tell any secrets to – she would never tell anyone. She’s really helped me through so much over the years. I’m talking about Stevie Nicks. So I’m going to play ‘Clara Bow’ for her for the first time.”

The song pays tribute to Nicks with the line: “You look like Stevie Nicks/1975, the hair and the lips/The crowd goes wild at their fingertips/Half moonlight, a total eclipse.” During her performance, she mixed the song with Red‘s “The Lucky One.”

After “Clara Bow” she sang “You’re on Your Own, Kid” by midnight on the piano during the surprise part of their set.

Their three-day performance in Dublin included surprise live debuts of the songs “The Albatross” by The Tormented Poet’s Department: The Anthology on Saturday and folklore‘s “Hoax” on Friday. Swift’s next dates on the Eras Tour are in Amsterdam, where she will perform at the Johan Cruijff Arena from July 4-6. The European and UK leg of Swift’s tour continues through August, before the tour heads to Canada for a series of dates, concluding on December 8 at BC Place in Vancouver.
