Katy Perry claims she is tired of being famous

Katy Perry has admitted that she is tired of being famous, as the trailers for the documentary “Part Of Me” promise her fans a backstage pass into the singer’s life.

Although the hidden camera-style film makes Katy Perry’s private life more public than ever, she admitted that she sees fame as a “disgusting byproduct” of her success.

The star told Teen Vogue that fame isn’t all it’s cracked up to be:

“I’m already tired of being famous! But I’m not tired of creating. Fame, I think, is just a disgusting side effect of what I do… It’s a delicate creature – a kind of wild animal.”

It seems that the intense scrutiny of her private life, especially after her divorce from Russell Brand, has become tiring for the “Teenage Dream” singer.

“I still want to be as accessible and approachable as possible. When I meet fans and they’re crying, I say, ‘Calm down, there’s no need to cry.’ I’m not going to bite you or attack you or grant you three wishes. Let’s just hang out and have a good time.”

The interview also included the astonishing admission that Katy had turned down a role in the Oscar-winning film “The Help” because she was too busy promoting her new single.
