Sister Act 2: Back in office featured a talented group of young actors/singers as students forced by lounge singer and nun Sister Mary Clarence to form a choir and save her school from closure. The most famous among them was of course Lauryn Hill, iconic rapper and frontwoman of The Fugees, but some may forget that Jennifer Love Hewitt was also one of these musically gifted teenagers. With Sister Act 3 comes to streaming (have the Disney+ subscription ready), the 9-1-1 The star spoke about her reprising the role more than 30 years later.

There are not many Updates about Sister Act 3 split at this point, and Tyler Perry has acknowledged how long it takes to get together. In the meantime, Whoopi Goldberg has brought the band (or rather the choir) back together The view celebrate Sister Act 230th anniversary and spoils the audience with a Performance of “Oh Happy Day”, complete with solo by Ryan Toby (who played Ahmal).
Lauryn Hill was absent from the reunion, as was Jennifer Love Hewitt, so I don’t know if that says anything about the chances of them coming back for the sequel. Whoopi Goldberg has a heartfelt appeal to Maggie Smith to return as Mother Superior, and Kathy Najimy (Sister Mary Patrick) has reportedly expressed interest in returning. It wouldn’t be right to do so without Wendy Makkena also returning as Sister Mary Robert, but we’ll have to wait and see how it all plays out.
As for new additions to the franchise, Keke Palmer has thrown her name into the roomand said she would take “any job” Sister Act 3and there were rumors that Whoopi Goldberg had expressed interest in recruiting colleagues EGOT winner Jennifer Hudson for a role in the film – an idea that Some fans were not happy around.
Whether it’s Jennifer Love Hewitt, Keke Palmer, Jennifer Hudson or another name, I would love to hear that the project is moving forward.
