Jessie Ware and Romy present their new song “Lift You Up” in Glastonbury

Jessie Ware and Romy both performed their new song “Lift You Up!” at Glastonbury.

The two first performed the song during the “Free Yourself” singer’s performance on Saturday (June 29) when she took to the West Holts stage.

Ware introduced Romy by saying, “I’m so proud to call her my girlfriend and we’ve been waiting to do a song together.”

Posting on Instagram on Sunday (June 30), Jessie wrote: “Yes the rumours are true. (Romy) and I were in the studio making Lift You Up! I adore this person and we are so excited to share our song together with you. Proud of it x.” Romy commented: “They say listen Jessie! 💞💞💞💞💞 I love you so much xxx.”

The song is an upbeat and groovy disco track that combines the vocals of both artists. It is a euphoric and uplifting track that has arrived just in time for the summer parties.

“Now I’m gonna give you that feeling / Now I’m gonna give you something to believe in / I know something / The good life is coming / You give me something that keeps me going,” the two sing on the new track.

Ware took the stage in West Holts on Saturday (29 June) after a killer set at Mighty Hoopla Earlier this month. In the meantime, Romy will be performing on the Woodsies stage today (Sunday, June 30).

Glastonbury was also rocked by sensational sets elsewhere. Dua Lipa gave a career-enthusiastic performance on Friday (28 June), as did The Sugababes. Also on Saturday, Cyndi Lauper entered the Pyramid stage and Sam Smith has joined Disclosure. On Sunday, Shania Twain delivered a stunning performance on the Pyramid Stage in the iconic Legends slot.
