Chris Pratt would “of course” join the DCU after visiting James Gunn’s set

Marvel star Chris Pratt has said he is ready to move to the DCU.

The actor is no newcomer to superhero franchises, having previously played the role of Peter Quill in James Gunn’s Protector of the Galaxy trilogy and numerous other MCU blockbusters.

Now he’s eager to work with Gunn again, this time in the DCU, after Gunn is named co-CEO and co-chairman of the studio in 2022.

After his recent visit to the director on the set of Superman: Legacy, Pratt said TMZ that he would “of course” switch to the rival franchise if the opportunity arose.

“If it fit my schedule and made sense, I would love it,” he continued, adding, “Obviously, I love playing Star-Lord, and hopefully there’s a chance it will happen again.”

“I just feel so blessed to be able to do all of this and be considered for any of this. If it’s the right thing and the fans love it, I would be more than happy to do it.”

When asked which DC character he would like to play, he said: “I’ll just have to leave that up to the fans and people like James. I’m not entirely sure. I’m really not sure.”

It may be wishful thinking, but Pratt could even reprise his role as Star-Lord and bring the Guardians to the DCU.

After all, Gunn had previously stated that a crossover film between Marvel and DC under his direction was not ruled out.

“I’m sure that’s more likely now that I’m in charge (at DC). Who knows? But that’s many years away,” he said last year. “I think we need to establish what we’re doing (at DC) first. I’d be lying if I said we haven’t discussed that. But all the discussions have been very, very relaxed and fun.”
