Israeli forces bombed a house in the Nur Shams refugee camp east of Tulkarem in the northwestern part of the occupied West Bank on Sunday, killing one young man and injuring five others, two of them seriously.

According to media sources, an armed Israeli drone fired missiles at a Palestinian house in the Al-Manshiya neighborhood of Nur Shams camp on Sunday afternoon.

The Palestinian Health Ministry confirmed that one young man was killed in the airstrike and five others were injured, including two seriously; all of them were taken to the state-run Martyr Thabet Thabet Hospital in Tulkarem.

The young man killed was identified as Saeed Izzat Jaber24, is said to be the commander of the Tulkarem Battalion resistance group, which belongs to the Al-Quds Brigades.

Sources added that an armed Israeli drone fired at least three missiles at the home of citizen Hani Al-Mueen, causing heavy destruction and damage to surrounding houses.

The Palestinian Red Crescent Society (PRCS) said its ambulance crews were unable to reach the attacked house due to fire caused by the rocket attack.

Sources added that residents of nearby houses, including women and children, suffered shrapnel injuries and were treated at the scene.

It is important to mention that the young man who was killed survived several assassination attempts by the occupying army.

News website Arab 48 quoted the Israeli army radio station as saying that the attacked house was under surveillance and claimed that four Palestinian resistance fighters were in the house.
