Tom and Giovanna Fletcher have cameo roles in the new film “Migration”

Tom Fletcher and Giovanna Fletcher have secured voice roles in the upcoming animated film Migration.

The McFly pop star and “I’m a Celebrity” winner can be heard in the British version of the family film as the voice of a pair of ducks named Joe and Ellie.

The ducks inspire the mallard family from Migration, voiced by Kumail Nanjiani and Elizabeth Banks, to go on a family trip of their own after visiting the mallard pond in New England on their way to Jamaica.

“I am a huge fan of Illumination films and it was a real pleasure to be asked to take on the role of Ellie,” the 2020 jungle queen said in a statement. “The film’s message of experiencing nature and stepping out of your comfort zone to try something new is something we try to bring into our family life as well.”

Tom added: “It will be so exciting for the children to hear us in an Illumination film. This film is so much fun and helps show the importance of strong family bonds.”

In a behind-the-scenes video released by Universal, the couple could be seen in the recording booth lending their voices to their roles separately.

The singer revealed that they “very quickly agreed” to the Cameo offer because they like to do projects that their three children “can appreciate and enjoy.”

Tom and Giovanna, who have been married since 2012, are parents of three boys – Buzz, nine, Buddy, seven, and Max, five.

“Migration” will be released in UK cinemas on February 2nd.
