Taylor Swift reacts to Simone Biles’ use of her song “Ready For It” during the floor exercise at the Olympic trials

Greatness recognizes greatness: Taylor Swift responded to gymnastics legend Simone Biles by using her song “…Ready For It?” during her floor exercise during U.S. Olympic qualifying.

The “Down Bad” singer Video of Biles’ incredible floor routine reposted from the second night of the 2024 U.S. Olympic Gymnastics Trials and wrote on X: “I’ve seen it so many times and I’m still not ready. But she’s ready for it.”

The pop star was reacting to a video of the routine posted by the NBC Olympics & Paralympics account, in which Biles performed the triple-double – also known as the “hardest tumbling pass in the world” – to the tune of a song from the singer’s 2017 album. Call played.

Many of Swift’s fans were also excited that Biles used the song for her floor routine.

“Song is clearly ‘ready for it’ and we still weren’t,” someone praised the seven-time Olympic medalist.

“Simone Biles starting her floor routine with Taylor Swift is awesome,” raved one fan on X, while another said, “A crossover between Simone Biles and Taylor Swift just makes sense.”

With two days left before the remaining trials for the 2024 Paris Olympics, Biles leads the field on Sunday with a score of 58.900. Jordan Chiles is in second place with 56.400 and Suni Lee holds third place with 56.025.

After her first event – the uneven bars – Biles was in second place. But it was her two favorite events, floor and vault, that gave her a steep score and had the crowd cheering.

For her choreography on the second floor, Biles worked with French dancer Gregory Milan, who choreographed her, so NBC.

Her performance Friday night gave her a strong start to qualifying for the 2024 team the United States hopes to send to this year’s Olympic Games in Paris. At each Olympic qualifying event, the gymnast with the highest score is automatically named to the team the United States sends to Paris, with four more selected by a committee after the qualifying events are completed.

Biles famously withdrew from the 2020 Tokyo Olympics, citing mental health reasons at the time, but her performance at the U.S. Olympic Qualifying competitions shows that she is back and better than ever.
