Dakota Johnson’s rare appearance for Chris Martin amid breakup rumors

Throughout 2024, we’ve heard some pretty wild things about Dakota Johnson and Chris Martin’s personal relationship. We’ve heard that they’ve split up, that their engagement fell apart because of exes, and more. When Johnson didn’t go to Moses’ graduation party, many feared the rumors were true. But no, the couple simply refuted all of those rumors with a subtle appearance.

On June 29, during Coldplay’s headlining performance at the Glastonbury Festival in the UK, many eagle-eyed fans noticed a familiar face in the crowd.

In photos obtained by People, many could see Johnson watching Martin from the stands during a live stream of the event!

In fact, this isn’t the first time they’ve used this method to put an end to breakup rumors. In June 2023, when Coldplay performed in Naples, Italy, Martin stopped by to say hello to Johnson in the VIP box, to which she adorably waved back and reminded everyone that they are so in love.

Johnson frequently attends Martin’s shows and this subtle show is the perfect reminder that their relationship is stronger than ever.

For those who don’t know, the two lovebirds started dating in 2017 after being set up by mutual friends. They confirmed their relationship a year later and moved in together in 2021. In early 2024, rumors began swirling that they were engaged, and although neither of them has commented publicly, many insiders claim that this is the case.

In a previous interview with Bustle, she revealed rare details about their romance and talked about how much she loves watching him perform. “I love watching him. I could watch him every day. I don’t know how to explain it. I feel like I’m watching my favorite being doing his favorite thing. When people are really good at something, that’s (sexy).”

Will we ever hear intimate details about their romance from Johnson? Probably not.

In a recent interview with SheKnows for her new film PapadioJohnson talked about how she was a “safe” and that was just with her co-star Sean Penn!

“I’ve learned so much and I’ll never tell anyone,” she said of Penn. “I know things the internet would love to know. I’m a safe.”
