In light of the conflict between Hezbollah and Hamas, investors are looking for profits in Israel

A new initiative aims to connect international investors and markets with innovative efforts in Israel’s periphery by establishing a new angels club called “Eretz Angels”.

Eretz Angel members can invest in deep-tech companies in Israel’s northern and southern communities, providing the initiatives with important early-stage support and professional advice.

The club will connect new innovation efforts with local and international investors and markets, opening up expanded opportunities to join the start-up nation.

“Eretz Angels” comes amid difficult news, as the startup industry in Israel has experienced a lull since October 7. This lull has particularly affected early-stage high-tech companies, so it is safe to assume that the Eretz Angels Club will breathe new life into the crisis-ridden periphery – especially the areas more affected by Hamas and Hezbollah attacks.

The investment club focuses on pre-seed and seed investments in the areas of technological innovation and entrepreneurship. Members benefit from the club’s search for investment opportunities, which are presented to them for investments, collaborations, strategic partnerships, pilot projects and beta sites, whether through direct investments or the creation of SPVs.

Eretz Angels is a unique initiative based on decades of experience, strong ties to the Israeli entrepreneurial community and significant resources to invest in entrepreneur-owned technology companies.

The club was jointly founded by the Kamea Foundation of the Kibbutz Movement, the Kibbutz Industry Association, the Central Bank, the Eretz Noshevat Foundation and the Kinneret Innovation Center.

The kibbutz’s industrial facilities serve as design partners and potential investors. Agricultural initiatives use the infrastructure of the kibbutzim and HaShomer HaChadash industries and businesses to identify farmers in need and evaluate opportunities for feasibility.
