Brenda Song says her fiancé Macaulay Culkin helps her feel “so confident”

For Brenda Song and her fiancé Macaulay Culkin, there is no ugly truth.

The actress spoke about how the Home Alone star helps her boost her confidence in her physical beauty at a launch event for Clarins’ Multi-Active skincare collection in Los Angeles on Friday.

“I think he’s the one who made me feel the best when I went to bed with nothing on my face and I was so tired,” Song told People magazine at the event. “We were about to watch something really silly on TV and he looks at me and (I think), ‘He gives me so much confidence.'”

Part of that confidence comes from the openness of their relationship. The “Blue Eye Samurai” star said Culkin “has to put up with my 20-minute grooming routine at night.” Song also poked fun at the couple’s different approaches to skincare.

“He doesn’t take care of his skin,” Song said. “If he washes his face with water at night, I’m lucky. I’m the one who has to smear the stuff on his face.”

She added: “He’s like a boy who says, ‘I’ve never had to do anything. I’m never going to do anything.’ I thought, ‘That doesn’t apply to me.’ It took me an hour and a half to get ready (for this event), and he came at the last minute and was ready in five minutes.”

Song and Culkin starred together in the Seth Green dramedy “Changeland” in 2019. They have two children together, two-year-old son Dakota and a second son whose name and age have been kept secret.

Macaulay Culkin calls Brenda Song his “master” at the Walk of Fame ceremony

In December, Culkin was honored with a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. During his speech, Culkin especially thanked Song for her support.

“I want to thank Brenda. You are everything,” Culkin said at the time. “You are my hero. You are the only person who is happier for me today than I am. Not only are you the best woman I have ever known, you are also the best person I have ever known.”

Song and the couple’s two sons were present to celebrate the success, with Song seemingly becoming emotional at one point.

“You give me purpose. You give me family,” Culkin continued. “And after the birth of our two boys, you became one of my three favorite people.”
