Eras Tour set-up “took about 7-8 hours,” says Dublin worker

The capital of Ireland is ready for Swiftmania. Taylor Swift will perform three sold-out nights at Dublin’s unique, state-of-the-art Aviva Stadium starting Friday.

“I would say that she is an inspiration of strength. Although she doesn’t know me, she supports me every day when I put on my headphones,” Daniel Aguilar, 18, said via X direct message in Portuguese. “I’ve been a fan since ‘Folklore,’ but I always heard her songs on the radio and had several of them on my playlist.”

The cashier lives in Ireland and has worked at the Aviva Stadium for about a year and is hoping Swift will make a surprise announcement on Friday night.

“Maybe ‘Reputation (Taylor’s Version)’ or the physical version ‘Tortured Poets: Anthology,'” he said. The Swiftie communicated from the concert hall floor in his Chiefs T-shirt and Swift sweatshirt.

“I’m very excited because this is the first time I’ve seen them live,” he said.

Aguilar snapped photos earlier this week of the trucks on the ground building the massive stage, and caught a glimpse of the open set that held the Folklore Cottage in suspense.

“I found the set-up to be very quick. It took about 7 to 8 hours,” said Aguilar. “I was able to see some parts of the set before they went backstage, like the ‘Folkmore’ trees, the ‘Down Bad’ machine and the ‘Tortured Poets’ bed.”

Swift still has 28 shows left in Europe and 18 in North America. She stopped in Dublin on her world tours for “Speak Now,” “1989” and “Reputation.”

Your next stop is Amsterdam on the 4th of July weekend.
