An extremely rare coin with an unusual twist has sold for an incredible 370 times its value after sparking a fierce bidding war.

The treasure was offered for sale on the online marketplace for £185 – and can be found in your handbag.

The coin is a 100% genuine 50 pence coin from Kew Gardens, with the dates 1759 and 2009 engraved on the silver surface.

In the center of the metal is a tower covered in vines and leaves that grow all the way to the top.

It’s an extremely rare 50 pence coin that’s hit the market for 30,000 times its value because of a tiny detail – and you could have one in your pocket.

The ‘highly sought-after’ treasure is being sold for a whopping £15,000 as it features unique scrollwork decoration.

The coin was commissioned to commemorate the Battle of Hastings in 1066 and characteristics the iconic scene in which King Harold II is hit in the eye by an arrow.

It is intended to be a unique addition for coin collectors and will therefore go under the hammer for a staggering sum.

You can buy it now for £15,000 – or bid from £10,000.

However, if you buy from eBay you have to pay £7.95 for express delivery.

The clip from the expert, who goes by the name “coincollectingwizard” on TikTok, showed images of rare coins that can win hundreds of pounds.

He said: “There are many old British pennies that are quite valuable. It depends on the date though.”
