Michigan secures 4-star DL from Georgia

Michigan beat out several SEC heavyweights in the battle for a 4-star defensive lineman on Saturday afternoon.

The Wolverines were able to secure a commitment from Georgia native Julius Holly. In addition to the Bulldogs from his home state, Holly also had offers from programs such as Ole Miss, Texas A&M and South Carolina, to name a few.

Holly is a huge addition to Michigan in the class of 2025. He is the No. 301 player overall and No. 22 in the country for this cycle, according to the 247Sports Composite rankings.

Holly attends Alpharetta High School in Alpharetta, Georgia. He is 6’3″ tall and weighs 230 lbs.

Michigan offered Holly a scholarship back in May, so things have moved quickly between the Wolverines and the 4-star lineman. Holly took an official visit to Ann Arbor earlier this month. Before making this decision, he also visited Texas A&M, Georgia, Ole Miss and Stanford.

Michigan continues to make great strides in recruiting players for the Class of 2025. The Wolverines, who had to rebuild much of their coaching staff in the offseason, now have 13 commitments this cycle. The group ranks 15th nationally, according to 247Sports Composite Rankings.

Here are some highlights from Holly’s junior season of high school football:
