Forced displacement is increasing due to conflict, persecution and disasters. Refugees, asylum seekers, internally displaced persons and host communities need support and opportunities. Greater international responsibility-sharing and the integration of humanitarian, development and peace-building measures are key to prevention and finding durable solutions for displaced persons, stateless persons and host communities.

UNDP and UNHCR are pooling resources, networks and expertise in humanitarian assistance, development and peacebuilding in some of the world’s most complex refugee crises. This report brings together examples of joint work under the UNDP/UNHCR Framework for Global Collaboration for Inclusion and Solutions 2023-2025. They illustrate the many ways in which UNDP and UNHCR are working together to increase benefits for displaced, stateless and host communities – from regional platforms in multiple countries to country-specific projects, data and analysis.

Examples include Afghanistan, Burkina Faso, Colombia, the Comprehensive Regional Protection and Solutions Framework (MIRPS) for Central America, the Democratic Republic of Congo, Mozambique, Myanmar, the Regional Refugee and Resilience Plan (3RP) for the Syrian crisis, South Sudan and Sudan, and Uzbekistan.
