Watch the moment Taylor Swift was left ‘speechless’ after the Aviva Stadium crowd erupted in ‘deafening’ cheers for three minutes

Taylor Swift was left “speechless” on Saturday night after excited fans at Dublin’s Aviva Stadium let out a massive cheer that lasted a full three minutes.

The singer from Fortnight thrilled her fans in the Irish capital for the second evening in a row with a three-hour set of melodies from different eras of her musical repertoire. The crowd’s cheers seemed to last just as long.

Swift paused for a moment after performing “Champagne Problems” from her ninth studio album, Evermore, and was speechless as her fans started screaming with joy – and wouldn’t stop.

“I don’t know what to say,” the 34-year-old said after the roar had died down. “My band and I are staring at each other with our mouths open.”

Calculations of how long the screaming lasted were quickly posted on social media. One fan wrote: “How long did the cheering last tonight?!”, to which someone replied: “She is speechless and I won’t be able to speak tomorrow from all the screaming!”

A third chimed in: “The question is… How long would it take if she didn’t intervene??? I’m curious.” A third echoed his sentiments: “About 3 minutes and 50 seconds!!!!” and a fifth said: “The fact that the cheering in Dublin was so loud both nights at the Aviva!!! That’s why there really is no crowd like the Irish crowd! You deserve ALL the praise, cheers and screams.”

A sixth wrote: “Three whole minutes (plus seven seconds haha) of cheering for Taylor. My heart is so full.” A seventh concluded: “I only made it to 3:45 but it was definitely longer.” Click here to watch the video.

The powerful singer also sent her fans into a frenzy on Saturday when her lead dancer Kameron Saunders dished out a hilarious Irish slang expression during “We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together.”

Instead of the lyric “like, ever,” the top choreographer who became Taylor’s sidekick during this live track shouted “the neck of ye!”, meaning boldness. Swift finishes her sold-out Irish shows on Sunday.
