Sweet home ends with season 3 and although I will miss Cha Hyun-su, I am even more excited about Song Kang’s future roles in K-dramas. Sweet home Season 3 was confirmed over three years ago when the Netflix original K-drama was renewed for two more seasons after its successful debut. Presumably Sweet homeThe last two seasons were filmed back to back, with the third season being released less than a year after the second. Recently, Netflix confirmed that Sweet home Season 3 will be the last of the series.

Sweet home The end of season 3 is good news for the series, whose second season left much to be desired. Despite its shortcomings Sweet homeThe long-awaited return of has expanded the scope of the show and introduced several storylines that will now pay off in the grand finale. There is a lot at stake for Sweet homethird chapter, especially in terms of how the story of Song Kang’s Cha Hyun-su will end. Between Ui-myeong’s plan for the Neo-humans and the fate of Yi-kyung’s daughter, I expect Hyun-su to be the focus Sweet home‘s last season.

Sweet home is probably the biggest production Song Kang has starred in since he began his career in 2017. One of the most popular Netflix K-dramas, Sweet home was the first Korean show to enter the streamer’s Global Top 10With a sizeable budget, a large cast and huge sets, each episode of Sweet home feels almost like a blockbuster movie. Therefore, it is safe to assume that Song Kang needed quite a bit of time to film all three seasons of the series. Now that Sweet home comes to an end, the star will probably have more time to pursue other roles.

Interestingly, Song Kang played in three shows between Sweet homeSeasons 1 and 2, which shows how long it took for the series to return. Most of my favorite Song Kang K-dramas were released between the first and second seasons of. Sweet home. This contains Navillera, Despite it, Love and weather predictionAnd My demonthe last of which was around the same time as Sweet home Season 2 has been released on Netflix. With such compelling career choices during Sweet home‘s break, I’m curious to see what Song Kang will do now that the Netflix web series is over.

Song Kang has already played a number of iconic characters, even though his role as a leading actor only began in 2019. Hwang Sun-oh from Love Alarm, Lee Chae-rok from NavilleraPark Jae-eon from Despite itand Lee Shi-woo from Love and weather prediction are all great characters that proved that Song has what it takes to lead great K-dramas. More recently My demonJeong Gu-won became a fan favorite not only among the actor’s fans, but among K-drama audiences in general. As much as I like all of these characters, Cha Hyun-su is perhaps Song Kang’s most iconic.

Although I enjoyed it
Sweet home
In the second season, Hyun-su’s absence did not go unnoticed.

Hyun-su is a tragic hero and the heart and soul of Sweet home. Although the cast of Sweet home is quite large and includes many great actors, the show only works because Hyun-su is convincing enough as the main character. It is no surprise that Sweet home Season 2, in which Hyun-su was absent for several episodes, was not as well received as the first. Although I Sweet homeIn the second season, Hyun-su’s absence did not go unnoticed. It is unclear why Song Kang was barely in Sweet home season 2but luckily Hyun-su is back.

What to expect from Song Kang’s Hyun-su in the final season of Sweet Home

Hyun-su has to step in for season 3 of Sweet Home

Sweet home The final episodes of the second season saw the return of Cha Hyun-su, who had lived far away from his friends for almost a year. During his “exile,” Hyun-su learned that the monster apocalypse is more complicated than he thought. Song Kang’s character came to the conclusion that monsters deserve to live just as much as any human and that these creatures should not be attacked just because they exist. This creates an interesting moral dilemma that Hyun-su must face Sweet home Season 3. His decision could determine the outcome of the inevitable war between humans and monsters.
