Michigan Football snags 2025 four-star prospect Julius Holly

It’s a day in June that ends in “Y,” which recently meant someone had committed to play for the Michigan football team.

That was the case again Saturday afternoon when the Wolverines secured the commitment of four-star edge prospect Julius Holly for the Class of 2025. The 6-foot-3, 225-pound defensive lineman from Alpharetta, Georgia, chose UM over Georgia, Ole Miss and Texas A&M, among others.

“100% committed 🔵 #GoBlue,” Holly posted on social media.

Holly is the No. 38-rated player in Georgia according to 247Sports’ overall rankings, which also ranks him 22nd in the country and the No. 301 overall player in the class.

He is the fourth defensive lineman committed to head coach Sherrone Moore and new defensive line coach Lou Esposito, joining four-star players Nathaniel Marshall (Oak Park, Illinois), Jaylen Williams (Palatine, Illinois) and Bobby Kanka (Howell).

ON THE BASKETBALL COURT: For Michigan basketball player Vlad Goldin, Dusty May makes America feel “at home”

The commitment continued a red-hot month of June on the recruiting trail for Moore and Co., who have received eight commitments for the current graduating class and nine overall in the last 20 days. Michigan now has 13 commitments for the incoming class, is ranked 15th nationally, and doesn’t look to be slowing down anytime soon.

Another trio of players will be on the watch list in the next few weeks: four-star OL Hardy Watts (Brookline, Massachusetts), four-star TE Andrew Olesh (Center Valley, Pennsylvania) and three-star WR Phillip Wright (Destrehan, Louisiana).
