Voice Of Baceprot receives much praise at their first appearance at the Glastonbury Festival

Coldplay became the first band to headline the Glastonbury Festival five times since 2016, overtaking The Cure, who headlined four times.

However, the Indonesian band is proud as the metal band from Garut, West Java, Voice of Baceprot (VOB) performed for the first time at the annual music event of Glastonbury Festival held in Pilton, Somerset, UK. Introducing ANTARA on Saturday, June 29, Voice of Baceprot, led by three young women Marsya (vocals and guitar), Widi (bass) and Siti (drums), entertained the audience at the Woodsies Main Stage of Glastonbury Festival on Friday morning at 11:30pm local time as the opening act for the event.

Voice of Baceprot’s first performance received a positive response from Glastonbury Festival audiences, with the official Instagram account @voiceofbaceprot, cited on Saturday, uploading a series of stories from viewers praising their performance at the festival.

Voice of Baceprot performs some of their song numbers, such as “God, Allow Me (Please) to Play Music.” It was special because that day was the birthday of singer Marsya.

Prior to their performance at Glastonbury on June 26, VOB also performed at Downharves at the Dome in London.

The name VOB caused a stir worldwide in mid-2017. At that time, the trio, who were still attending vocational school, often performed their own song “The Enemy of Earth Is You”.

They chose the name Baceprot, which means “sonorous” in Sundanese, to represent the music they make.
