Will Smith stunned fans with the release of his new song “You Can Make It” after taking a musical hiatus since the release of his EDM track “Get Lit” in 2017.

However, on Friday, June 28, Smith returned with a brand new offering titled “You Can Make It.”

The inspirational track features Smith rapping to convey an important message, backed by Fridayy and the Sunday Service choir (known from Kanye West’s “Jesus Is King”).

“You’re in the smoke and the fire / Walking the tightrope / I see you’re broken and tired / And all your hope is gone,” he raps in the track.

The lyrics also say: “So many trials for the flesh / Exhausted, gasping for air / Walking through the valley of the shadow of death / And when you think you have nothing left, keep walking.”

In the song, he also encourages himself to confront personal struggles from the past. The lyrics state, “Believe me, they tried to bleed Will Smith dry / Looking back, I see that adversity was a gift.”

He adds: “From the madness, from the labyrinth / From the saddest into the rays / The darkest night turns to day / And every storm runs out of rain.”

Shortly after he released his latest hit, fans could hardly contain their excitement and flooded the comments section with love.

One fan commented: “Will Smith sings and plays his heart out, beautiful music!!! God bless you, always.”

Another commented: “Will Smith is back, they can’t make us hate the prince.”

Will Smith will also perform the new song live at the 2024 BET Awards on Sunday, June 30.
