Chris Jericho with a surprise appearance on June 28th at the CMLL Viernes Espectacular

A true veteran in the world of pro wrestling, Chris Jericho is proud to work in AEW and isn’t afraid to show it. He loves competing all over the world, so it’s no surprise that he made a surprise appearance at the CMLL Viernes Espectacular this week.

Chris Jericho made a dramatic return to CMLL under the pseudonym “Corazon De Leon” at the CMLL Viernes Espectacular on June 28, making quite an impact. During the event, Jericho attacked Místico immediately after Místico waved to the fans. Jericho appeared in the ring wearing a mask disguised as Místico, only to reveal his true identity to the shocked crowd at Arena Mexico.

After this surprise, Jericho did a promo in Spanish in which he boldly declared himself the greatest of all time. He criticized Místico, saying that Místico had the heart of a mouse, and then challenged Místico to a fight anytime, anywhere. Místico accepted the challenge on the condition that their encounter would take place at Arena Mexico.

This was Jericho’s first appearance in CMLL in nearly three decades, since his unsuccessful challenge for the CMLL World Heavyweight title against Apolo Dantes on September 19, 1995 at the Arena Coliseo in Mexico City, Distrito Federal, Mexico. Regardless, we will have to wait and see how his match against Místico turns out, as fans were shocked to see Jericho back in CMLL.
