Chris Pratt and his wife Katherine Schwarzenegger announce that they are expecting their third baby

Katherine Schwarzenegger and Chris Pratt are expecting another baby, People confirms.

The couple has two other children, Lyla Maria and Eloise Christina. Their eldest daughter was born in 2020, which prompted Chris to rethink his family planning. He opened up to People and said he is open to “as many (children) as the man up there can provide for them.” He also has a child from his previous marriage to Anna Farris. His eldest son, Jack, was born in 2012.

Chris was pretty scared when Jack came along. He was born about nine weeks premature, which brought with it a host of medical problems. His stay in the NICU was crucial as doctors tried to stop severe brain bleeding.

Anna said during a charity event hosted by the Global Alliance to Prevent Prematurity and Stillbirth: “The day came when I could take Jack home, and those first few years were filled with doctor’s appointments, five surgeries, physical therapy and lots of laughter – because Jack was and is the sweetest, most adorable being I could have ever imagined.”

Since then, Jack has been healthier. He’s also been a great big brother to his siblings, with whom he doesn’t share a mother. “There’s a big age difference… (and) he does a great job, he’s so sweet to them. And they love him so much and miss him when he’s gone,” Chris told Entertainment Tonight.

Chris and Katherine welcomed their first child together shortly after their wedding. In a 2020 announcement post, they said, “We are overjoyed to announce the birth of our daughter, Lyla Maria Schwarzenegger Pratt. We couldn’t be happier and feel extremely blessed! Love, Katherine and Chris.”

They were relatively low-key with Lyla. Katherine explained during an appearance on the Today Show that it was important to the couple to allow their children to find their own identities away from the spotlight. The same was true when they welcomed baby number two in 2022.

“We are so excited to announce the birth of our second daughter, Eloise Christina Schwarzenegger Pratt. We feel beyond blessed and grateful,” they wrote in a joint social media post when she was born. Details on baby three are pending, but we wish them all the best.
