“For hardworking people in Michigan and across the country, this election is about which candidate can do the most to make life better for them and their families, to stand up for our rights and freedoms, and to leave a better country for our children and grandchildren. On these issues, the difference between Joe Biden and Donald Trump as people and as presidents couldn’t be clearer.

President Biden’s focus is on reducing costs for families, building an economy that works for working people, and restoring the reproductive freedom that women lost during Donald Trump’s last term in the White House.

Donald Trump is a convicted felon whose focus is on Donald Trump. And he’s told us what he’s going to do if he gets back into the White House. He’s going to escalate his attacks on women’s reproductive rights, try to repeal the Affordable Care Act and drive up healthcare costs for families, and move auto jobs to China.

Joe Biden is running to serve the American people. Donald Trump is running to serve Donald Trump. The difference between Joe Biden’s vision of giving everyone in America a fair chance and Donald Trump’s dangerous, self-serving plans will only become clearer as November progresses.”

I was the second youngest person ever elected to the United States Senate, and this guy is three years younger and much less competent. Look at what I’ve done.”

Michigan Republican Chairman and former Congressman Pete Hoekstra issued the following statement after Thursday’s debate:

“Joe Biden’s disastrous record was on full display for America to see tonight, and not surprisingly, he failed to defend it. His policies have only hurt Michigan and will continue to do so. After tonight’s debate, it is obvious that we need President Trump’s ‘America First’ policies to get our country back on track.”
