The newest superstar of the series “The Boys” comes from Michigan

The ever-popular, albeit controversial, Amazon Prime series The young has a new character who seems to play a major role throughout the fourth season from here in Michigan.

Jessica Bradley, better known by her superhero name Sister Sage (portrayed by actress Susan Heyward), made her name as a superhero in Detroit. She is the second superhero to be associated with the Motor City in the series, since Nubian Prince (a parody of Black Panther) was mentioned in Season 1.

Sage’s superpower is basically her superior intelligence, which makes her the smartest person on the planet. Her character seems to be a parody of Marvel’s Master Menace.

The young Wiki describes her abilities as follows:

• Superhuman intelligence
  • Empathic accuracy
  • Hypercognition
• Regenerative healing factor
• Superhuman hearing

She is also described as an advanced engineer with a photographic memory.

Of course, she’s the smartest person in the world, making her a valuable character in the context of the series. And so the fate of The Boys could be decided by Michigan’s most famous “superheroine.”

Sage is introduced in the show as a candidate to fill vacant spots on Homelander’s team, “The Seven,” with her credentials and skills listed. A-Train mentions that he worked with Sage in the Teen Titans parody Teenage Kix, but she didn’t stay on the team for very long.

However, it is not stated whether Teenage Kix did business in Detroit.

Nevertheless, Homelander recognized Sage’s value and found her in her apartment, presumably in Detroit, wearing a Palace of Auburn Hills T-shirt to recruit her to his cause.

Early on, it seems that Sage shares Homelander’s interests, with Supes being superior beings having fewer restrictions than normal humans. She has established herself as a strong character as she is one of the few who can tell Homelander, the series’ main villain, what to do without consequences.

Of course, Sage has also displayed a certain arrogance that could get her in trouble if she ends up trying to outwit Homelander. However, she could also fall victim to her own exhaustion at being the smarter person on the planet, as she has been shown to undergo lobotomies to rid herself of her powers in her free time.

In any case, she is a fascinating character who pulls the threads of the story and is likely to have a significant influence on the outcome of the fourth season, the penultimate season of the series.

Whether she has the staying power to influence the final season in season 5 remains to be seen.
