A Broomfield man pleaded not guilty in 2022 to stabbing his mother and wounding a man in his home.

Joseph Majewski, 34, pleaded not guilty on June 10 to first-degree murder, attempted first-degree murder, aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and two sentencing enhancements.

A 10-day trial against Majewski is scheduled to begin on December 2, more than two years after Laurie Majewski was found dead and a man was injured.

Majewski remains in custody on $2 million bail.

According to a press release, officers were called to the home of Joseph Majewski in the 13000 block of Grove Court shortly before 5:00 p.m. on January 3, 2022, for a disturbance and stabbing.

Officers found Laurie Majewski dead inside the home along with an injured man who was taken to a nearby hospital.
