Taylor Swift’s jet lands at Dublin Airport ahead of Eras tour concert at Aviva Stadium – The Irish Times

T-Swizzle, the reigning Queen of Pop, the owner of the scarf that Jake Gyllenhaal (allegedly) never returned, the girlfriend of the guy who won the Super Bowl, or whatever you want to call her, Taylor Swift has been impossible to get past lately, and that will become even more inevitable this weekend when her Eras tour hits Dublin.

Our advice to those of you who failed in the great Ticketmaster war of 2023 is to mute the social channels of anyone who got tickets to Swift’s three sold-out shows at the Aviva Stadium and play all of her sad songs on repeat. That’s what this journalist plans to do, anyway. Because I can do it with a broken heart, no matter how cruel the summer may be, and when the tears come, I can just shake it off.

Here’s what the Irish Times Taylor Spotter team discovered:

Taylor is here

She’s here, folks, Taylor is here. At least two online sources posted this morning that Taylor Swift – or at least her jet – has landed at Dublin Airport.

On Thursday evening, aviation enthusiast Shaun Dunne posted from his X-Account (formerly Twitter), @shauns_aviation, that he would be going plane watching around noon on Friday and would probably be listening to Taylor Swift music.

And he did so by posting a video from the airport’s observation deck on Friday morning with Swift’s hit “Shake it Off” playing in the background.

At 12:16pm, Dunne tweeted that “she’s down” and that he would upload photos soon – which we have obtained below.

In addition, an account on the social platform Bluesky called “Taylor Swift’s Jet’s (Tracking)” confirmed Dunne’s suspicion that it was indeed Swift’s jet. The account posted that her plane landed at 11:56 a.m. after taking off from London Stansted Airport at around 11 a.m.

Dancers from the Eras tour have landed in Dublin

According to an extensive online search, it is believed that some of Taylor Swift’s people, at least her dancers, are in Dublin.

One of the dancers on the Eras tour, Sam McWilliams, posted an Instagram story on Wednesday night of himself at a Troye Sivan concert that looked suspiciously like the Troye Sivan concert that took place that same night at Dublin’s 3Arena.

Typically, many artists wait until they leave a city or country before posting about it. Unless, of course, you’re McWilliams, who clearly loves Sivan and immediately wanted to share this with his eagle-eyed followers who eagerly follow Swift’s every move.

Kameron Saunders, another of Swift’s more famous dancers, also reposted an Instagram story from Benjamin Williams, a dancer on tour with Troye Sivan, expressing his gratitude that Saunders went to the concert. Saunders reposted the story, a picture of the two of them, and said that “the entire concert was WILDDDDD,” further making us believe that the dancers are actually in Dublin.

Some of Swift’s dancers also posted “Goodbye London” on Tuesday after performing at Wembley Stadium last weekend – another indication that they are on their way to Dublin or are already there.

The stage is preparing for

According to this post on X (formerly Twitter), the stage construction at the Aviva is also underway.

According to the Taylor Swift Fandom website, the stage for the Eras tour is a long catwalk that runs about halfway down the floor area, with a diamond shape in the middle that leaves room for Swift and her dancers, forming a T at the end. The stage is completely covered in LED panels.

During the show, depending on the song, a lift moves to the middle of the diamond-shaped stage section. This lift is also equipped with LED panels.

Celebrities in large numbers in London

Swift arrives in Dublin fresh from her three-night run at London’s Wembley Stadium last weekend, where an absurd number of celebrities were in attendance – we’ll get to them below – because love her or hate her, the world is skeptical of the fearless mastermind Swift, and Dublin will no doubt be enchanted too.

So who was at Swift’s performance at Wembley last weekend? And Don’t Blame Me, but the list goes on:

Travis Kelce, an American football player who won the Super Bowl with the Kansas City Chiefs and also happens to be Swift’s boyfriend, not only attended all three shows at Wembley, but also performed with her on stage as a dancer on Sunday.

Prince William also attended her concert with his two eldest children and met Swift and Kelce afterwards. Swift posted a photo on Instagram.

What probably attracted more attention, however, were the future King’s dance moves, which were captured on video during the concert. But look, at least he had fun.

Tom Cruise, Mila Kunis, Ashton Kutcher and Hugh Grant were also reportedly spotted at Wembley on Saturday night.

Barbie director Greta Gerwig was also reportedly there.

On Friday, Galway woman, Derry Girls and Bridgerton star Nicola Coughlan was in attendance, as were her fellow actors Salma Hayek and Leslie Mann.

Zara and Mike Tindall, Erin Andrews, Charissa Thompson and Stella McCartney were also there.

Labour leader Keir Starmer, model Cara Delevingne and Jonathan van Ness from Queer Eye were also spotted at the concert on Friday.

American actress Rachel Zegler, known for her roles in “West Side Story” and the prequel to “The Hunger Games,” also attended the concert on Saturday and posted on X afterwards.

According to reports, “Hunger Games” actor Liam Hemsworth was also present at Wembley.

Ellie Goulding and Gracie Abrams — who released a song called “Us” with Swift on Friday, June 21 — were in attendance on Sunday.

Experienced rock stars Paul McCartney and Jon Bon Jovi were also spotted at the concert on Sunday.

The big question is, which celebrities will be turning up at the Aviva this weekend? And where will Taylor herself be hanging out in the meantime?
