Briana Middleton stars alongside Callum Turner in Apple TV+ series Neuromancer

EXCLUSIVE: Briana Middleton (Sharper) was selected for the co-lead role alongside Callum Turner in NeuromancerApple TV+’s new science fiction drama based on the award-winning novel by William Gibson.

Created for television by Graham Roland and JD Dillard, Neuromancer is about a damaged, top-class superhacker named Case (Turner), who, along with his partner Molly (Middleton), a mirror-eyed assassin, becomes entangled in a web of digital espionage and serious crime and plans to heist a corporate dynasty with unknown secrets.

A co-production between Skydance Television, Anonymous Content and Apple Studios, Neuromancer is also produced by Drake’s DreamCrew Entertainment, with Roland serving as showrunner and Dillard directing the pilot episode.

Roland and Dillard serve as executive producers alongside David Ellison, Dana Goldberg and Matt Thunell for Skydance Television; Anonymous Content; Drake, Adel “Future” Nur and Jason Shrier for DreamCrew Entertainment; Zack Hayden and Gibson.

Neuromancer is Middleton’s latest collaboration with Apple TV+ following her starring role in the Apple Original Films series. Sharper and her casting as the lead actress in Sam Esmail’s high-profile metropolis series that was ultimately canceled. (Turner was also a regular on Apple TV+ after he premiered the streamer’s limited WWII series Master of the skies.)

The debut novel by William Gibson, Neuromancer is an outstanding work in the cyberpunk genre that won the Nebula Award, the Philip K. Dick Award and the Hugo Award. It was the first book in the Sprawl trilogy and was followed by Count zero And Mona Lisa Overdrive.

Middleton, whose credits also include the George Clooney film The Tender Bar and as the female lead in Disney+’s planned Beauty and the Beast prequel series, is represented by Gersh and Brillstein Entertainment Partners.
