New BJs Wholesale Club announced in Morris County

HANOVER TOWNSHIP, NJ – Get ready to start your shopping carts because BJ’s Wholesale Club plans to open a second store in Morris County by early 2025.

The 160,000-square-foot store and gas station will open in the Hanover Towne Center project (formerly Pine Plaza) on Route 10 in Whippany, the Hanover Eagle and other media sites report.

BJ’s has 24 other wholesale clubs in New Jersey, including one in Roxbury.

Like other members-only stores such as Costco and Sam’s Club, BJ’s Wholesale Club promotes lower prices on national brands for an annual fee. Memberships are available to both individuals and businesses and cost $55 per year for a Club Card and $110 per year for a Club+ Card, the company’s website says.

Bill Werner, the company’s executive vice president of strategy and development, said BJ’s “is excited to offer the unbeatable value of our membership to even more families.”

“As we continue to expand our presence on the East Coast and beyond, we look forward to helping even more families save up to 25 percent on grocery store prices every day,” he said in a statement.
