Obituary for Davis Lee Love 2024

Mr. Davis Lee Love, age 76, of Mt. Airy, passed away on Friday, June 28, 2024 at his home surrounded by his loving family. He was born August 31, 1947 in Surry County to the late Jackson and Hassie Ayers Love. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather who will surely be missed by all who knew him. Left to cherish his memory are his wife of 56 years, Myrtle Collins Love; his sons Johnathan Love, Raymond Love (Kelly); his grandchildren Levi, Maria, Lucas and Mason Love; his great-granddaughter Sophie-Claire; his sisters Annie Edwards (Billy), Mina Hiatt, Janie, Kitty Forman (Rick); his brothers Harvy Love, Jackson Love, Richard Love (Trish); his sister-in-law Darlene Love. In addition to his parents, Mr. Love was preceded in death by his brother Estel Love. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, June 29, 2024 from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. at Fellowship Missionary Baptist Church in Mt. Airy. A graveside memorial service will be held on Sunday, June 30, 2024 at 3:00 p.m. at Oak Grove Baptist Church in Cana with Brother Joe Collins officiating.
